Consolidate stock in Sanka and distribute accurate counts to every Shopify store or location. Use a single SKU source of truth while handling different channels.

Principles

  • One SKU truth: Use the same SKU everywhere or keep a platform-ID ↔ inventory-SKU mapping in Sanka.
  • Clear location mapping: Align Shopify locations with Sanka locations for allocation and replenishment.
  • Staged sync: Start Shopify→Sanka to gather counts, then push Sanka→Shopify once aligned.

Setup steps

  1. Add all Shopify stores/channels in Integrations.
  2. Import products via platform ID for the primary store; link others via inventory SKU to existing items.
  3. Aggregate location stock in Sanka; set safety stock and allocation rules.
  4. Export stock from Sanka to all stores, testing with small batches until counts match.
  5. Enable auto-sync with delta updates and notifications on failures.

Operating tips

  • Set pre-sale/backorder rules to prevent overselling during campaigns.
  • Finalize returns and cycle counts in Sanka, then re-publish to Shopify to avoid drift.
  • Workflow inventory transfers between locations and keep history.
  • Review SKU/stock variance reports regularly to catch anomalies early.
